How are they different? one think I can guess is that Wide Open Spaces is nothing but a country side location may be.

When we have a "landscape" challenge, many of the images are focused on *segments* of a landscape, so to speak. This one's a little different; it seems to be asking for the broad sweep of *something*, is my take on it. I can imagine an extreme WA view in, say, Grand Central Station being an effective response to this challenge.

Yeah, I see 'landscape, seascape, cityscape' too. My first thought, my favorite wide open space, is the one between my ears. I just can't figure out how to photograph it safely!

When I came to New York and I opened the window of the thirty-fifth-floor apartment, there's light pollution and fog, and I couldn't see my star. So I drew it on my wrist with a pen, but it kept washing away. Then I went to a tattoo parlor on Second Avenue and had it done.

Even a place 'indoor' can be a wide open one IMO :)
