Yes, and no :)
Same rules, but everyone is submitting their absolute best shot from the entire month. For it to place towards to upper half, the image must be outstanding in some way - location/subject; technicals/situational. Something we have either never seen before or have never seen done so well.
As others have pointed out, there is nothing wrong with your image. It's just rather pedestrian. Especially when comparing it to all the other entries in a FS. Technically, it's rather busy visually; the focus is not, I think, soft, but rather missed with only the wings are really in focus; the lighting is flat; etc., etc. |
