The guy at my local camera shop suggested one of those (or something very similar) to me when he saw I cycled. Thought it would be convenient for accessing my camera while riding. It would, but I thought having it on my shoulder like that would be an interference while riding. They show some cyclists in that video however. Might be worth trying out.

That looks really nice, actually. If I had a spare $80 I just might try it...
For now, I'll have to be happy with my Tamrac quick straps that hook to the d-rings of my backpack... |

I don't know about this product but I do have a strap from These folks and I absolutely love it.

Got one oat the Kickstarter price last year. I use it with my IR camera in the field (D7000 w/ 18-105). It stays locked solid on my hip and unlocks in a quick motion ready to use. The mounting bracket doubles as a tripod mount (mine does both Arca-Swiss and Manfrotto). Considering what a good quality tripod mount runs, this is more than a decent buy for the buck - if you have a need. Otherwise, it's priced beyond the speculation range. Definitely a solid, well made piece of equipment. |

I have the old capture (non Pro I guess :-) ). It's a nice idea but not well executed - maybe the new version will solve some issues.
Issues are around machining - the damn thing is sharp and leaves slices in my fingers and the fit on the hip - it digs in too much.
I did order the new wider strap from kickstarter because that was the obvious improvement from the existing thin strap. |

I've used this a lot and have to say that I've never once even thought an edge was overly sharp, let alone suffered a scratch from it.
As for using this on a motorcycle, I trust it a lot, and I love my D600, but Jeb, I'm not sure I'd ever want to do that test. Maybe the D90 and a cheap 50, but I find the Point & Shoot in the pocket to be preferable. The D600 goes in a bag mounted behind me to the sissy bar and rear fender. |
