Imagine how great this shot would have been if you had full frame!! Did this slice of turkey jerky turn out ok in the dehydrator?

All I need now is a wide-angle/Fish-Eye lens, which I was just a bit too late to grab from ace flyman, doh!

No, there was a lineup for that. I found this on Kijiji just a short distance from my house. Came with four batteries, unused grip, strap still in the plastic. I don't think it's ever been outside. I took a blue-sky test shot while at the guys house, and there's a bit of dust I'll have to clean off.

A 5D is [(7D-5D)/5D]=40% better than a 7D, and should therefore produce scores 40% higher on DPC.

Go for the 12-24mm Siggy. The old version has slightly lower optical performance, and a color cast - but 12mm rectilinear on a full frame body is something you just have to see to believe, and the old one is better corrected in terms of rectilinear projection :)

Thanks Cory, I'm going to have to do some research on a what to get for wide angle. I think I'd prefer to buy used. I think my Sigma 10-20 might fit but have vignetting problems as it's a crop sensor lens, I may even try selling it if I get a proper EF lens for the 5D.

First Shot, ISO 1600 managed a 1/125 exposure in our notoriously dark back room with just a bit of tree-filtered sunlight trickling in through the window. :-)

Reviews sound like what I'm after, found one in Toronto, emailed the guy selling it.

sell it and buy a used 17-40L, out of pocket cost will be about $300. bonus is the range is a decent walk around on a crop.

I need ultra-wide to compensate for my shortcomings.

I walked around Toronto this afternoon & took some shots. Just reviewed them on my PC and it made me laugh at how I could zoom into spots in the photo and see such detail. I laughed and laughed and laughed !!! I didn't think it would be like this. :-D

Awesome dude, I just went full frame too - everything you said +1 I love the detail and the high ISO performance is crazy. Still shooting with the DX for the next couple weeks, I already broke something in the new full frame (sensor cleaning, I closed the shutter on a swab... sigh...) can't wait to get it back though!

How the bloody hell did you do that? Haven't actually heard of anyone having this happen to them before! Really sorry to hear it too, that sucks!
