I don't have any photos, I'm stuck in the house relying on our one air conditioning unit to keep me alive.
I hate our summer....... all 6 to 8 months of it *sigh*
Worst part is our overnight "minimums" - after boiling all day, it only goes down to 26 deg C / 79 F .
So any of you who are tired of shovelling snow, spare a thought for us poor Aussies. |

Great Gallery Ray!! Love your compositions!
Try to stay cool down under! Do heat waves and crime sprees go hand in hand in your country??

Don't know about Australia, but in this country, very rarely do we get streaking, outdoor love making, flashing or riots in the dead of winter... so you may be right about heat leading to criminal activities. :O)

The temperature gauge on our front patio (in the shade) won't go over 50 degrees. It stops at 50 and then goes 'HHH'. Several times over the last 6 weeks it has hit the 'HHH' stage. Right now it is sitting at 43 degrees. Last night at 9-30pm it was on 35 degrees! Yep, it's hot! |

Ok -- That's not that hot -- it only got up to 57 here today, and the rain made it a little chilly.
oh... Celsius!!! It is still strange seeing those low numbers.
Did the conversion on Judi's quotes for those of us celsius challenged folks.

Just curious, what's the humidity like? When we travel to to hot places, the humidity always seems to make it even worse! Kinda like here, when it's cold, the wind chill makes it even colder....burrrr! |

Relative humidity is only 29% where we are (Judi lives in the same town I do) so it's a walk in the park really. |

One of the best lines I ever heard on a construction site. It was around 108 (42 celsius) and we were nailing down plywood on a roof of an addition. One of the framers says "the next guy standing in the shade who says 'ya its hot, but it's a dry heat' gets a claw through the forehead." Nothing like a nice dry heat, where no matter how much water you drink you end up dehydrated because you sweat every ounce out. |

Depends where you live. In the North and on the coast you tend to get high humidity. In Newcastle ( on the coast) - yesterday was 43degrees. Hot - yes, but workable because the humidity was low. Today it only reached 38 but the humidity was high - so it was a bastard of a day. It's ok tonight - a change came through and it has dropped to 23 . |
