Would love some feed back on this thought it was a 6+ 10 stop nd lovely silky water, plank floating downstream.

1 - some people think that landscapes are shoehorns in this kind of challenges.

2 - voters prefer color landscapes (especially when enhanced by ND filter like yours).

3 - it's a good shot, but the composition is a little strange.

It should have scored better, but it didn't deserve more than 6.1-6.2 IMHO.

I gave it a seven; what motivated me was good processing and multiple points of interest- perhaps the busy feel of the shot, the all inclusive crop or no crop made people perceive a lack of focal point?

Left a comment. Hope you're enjoying Mallorca by the way.

It doesn't look like a "stream" (it's more like a river flowing over a dam) and it's not at all "relaxing", it looks ominous and dreadful, all floody and rushing. I don't think the image fits the quote at all. Nice shot, though, in a different challenge.

I gave it a 7, I like the sky and the water -- it's very intriguing. I disagree with bear -- I think the water fits the quote, but maybe I'm just in a self-destructive mood and want to float down an ominous and dreadful, floody, rushing water. :)

However, there's too much to the picture to fit the quote. The land in front, the sky, the trees, I'm not swept into the river, I'm stuck on the near bank staring at everything. If it would have been just about the water, I think it would have been a better fit.

Left a comment. In a nutshell, I thought the composition was the biggest problem. Mainly the tilt which made the water actually appear to be flowing upward, opposite of what the title says. Maybe that was the intent? You turn off your mind and everything reverses itself?

Thanks for the feedback people always appreciated, it suffers for 800 pc wide at full screen on 27 iMac you can see so much,

Re the stream

Re the stream maybe it's a missed language but float down stream doesn't mean a stream, stream is the flow the amazon flows down stream as does the Nile etc if the quote was float down the stream then I'd get it but it's float down stream as in go with the flow???

Majorca is lovely, albeit we had a large lightening storm last night I walked out to a clearer view and the lightening in a heartbeat went from 5 miles away to 500 feet, and in a second no rain to full torrential rain I got wet to my underwear and scared a bit which is rare for me, heart beat was up. Like someone firing artillery don't know if you ever had lightening and thunder hit almost instantaneously but got me running, good job my tripod is carbon fibre lol. :)
