I'm going to Bhutan in October and am flying through Bangkok. I arrive on a Saturday night and fly out Monday morning. If you had one day in Bangkok, what photographically interesting thing would you see or do? Thank you!

The Grand Palace, Wat Pho ( the huge reclining gold buddha), The water taxi on the Chao Praya, floating markets, flower market, Patpong Road at night ( seedy, yes, but a great night market). Beware people that approach you wanting to take you with them to a gem dealer and tuk tuk drivers wanting to take you shopping

That's fantastic! Great suggestions - Thank you! I tend to be pretty cautious of people offering things when I travel alone but I really appreciate the heads-up. :-)

Whatever you do, don't rent a jet ski.

Grand Palace definitely, but wear long trousers as they won't let you in if you're wearing disrespectful shorts.

p.s. You're going to Bhutan? Brilliant. They only accept a small number of tourists each year.

Oh, thanks for the tip on clothing! Wouldn't have thought of that.
