Does anybody know of a workaround to allow this to be done? I might be able to hit the road for some shooting this coming weekend. I would like to at least have to potential to upload an image for a challenge while I am on the road and don't want to bring a laptop along. Might be fun living dangerously by editing with an iPad! :-0

Thanks in advance if anyone can help :)

I tried Opera Web Browser app and it goes one step further than Safari as it shows the photos on the Ipad but when I try to upload it says that the jpg file is empty. No further ideas.

Thanks Ben (and Alex)! I was successful when I selected to use the classic image loader to add to my workshop Margaret.

My first iPad upload is just something I had in my camera roll. Shot and edited on an iPhone- so everything done in iOS :)

AHA! IT WORKS!!

The browser is slow, but it works. I entered the glasses challenge via the iPad; however, I had to put the image in the workshop first. There is no classic option for the challenge entry.

Oh thanks, Ben! That worked perfectly!

But it doesn't seem to work on iPhone? At least it isn't for me yet.

Oh, this is going to be fun :-) My evening entertainment is often playing with some image on the iPad. I still use the camera to take pictures (just can't get the hang of composing without my eye stuck to a viewfinder LOL). Now I have to start paying more attention to the steps I take when editing there!

And when did the "insert photo from portfolio" button appear in the forums? I've clearly not been paying enough attention to DPC lately. Cool button :-)))

I used it from my new iphone...really works fine. Did you use the classic upload to workshop?

I took a screen shot from the program on my iPhone for you:

If you use a folder in your work shop, then click on the "classic upload" then you will get the upload option.

Click on the "select a file" button and then click on the photos button to access your camera roll.

When you are in your camera roll, choose the photo you want to upload.

Wait...wait...wait...program is kinda slow.

Then, move the image from your workshop to your portfolio!

Or use Copy from Workshop on the challenge entry

I bought the browser mentioned but when I go to the DPC site and then try to load a photo from my iPad 2 to DPC nothing happens. I click on the upload photo button in my portfolio workshop folder but it does the same thing as the Safari browser, nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: What is the classic upload feature?

You do have to use the classic upload on the ii pad. I used it for the first time yesterday.
Underneath the upload button there is some grey text which states if you are having trouble click here for classic uploader (or something like that). If you do that you will then get the "old" upload button.

Has anyone figured out a way to upload from an iPhone without going through the workshop? I can't use the workshop and the "Classic Upload" option has the "select file" button greyed out.

You can't do it from an iPhone I believe, just the iPad.

Yay, great question, and great answer. I just installed iCab on my iPhone 4s and uploaded this pic to my Workshop. Worked like a charm, as easy as can be.

Now I have another question, how do you reduce photo sizes on your ipad, what programe do you use, I want to use it when I'm traveling.
