I'll see your SLR lens mount, and raise you a dermatoscope.

Surely what they actually mean is that the device allows you to use inter-changable lenses. It surely can't turn an I-phone into a Single-lens reflex camera - where do they put the mirror?

a) You shouldn't be pedantic, Sara. The English language may be English to the English, but to the other myriad users it is a lingua franca subject not to definition, but rather to the vagaries of common usage. Which common usage of 'common' you wish to apply here is rather up to you.

$190?

and why would anyone want to use their good glass on that dinky image sensor?

Ok so how many people clicked on the lever that said do not pull? Yeah I am a rebel lol.

And I don't see the purpose in the mount, If you have the glass then you likely have a camera and lugging around lenses defeats the purpose of using the iphone as a camera.

Q: Why?

A: Because you can.

Brings to mind the saying "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." :-)

If that catches on lens manufacturers will make a lot of money from people needing to replace their broken lenses.
