ok a while back Prash had a really good idea. It was a forum called Comment or Die.

Anyway I think we need to maybe try this again....Hopefully it will be more succesful. Don't be afraid to comment on someones picture. You might learn something yourself.

I would like to use essentially the same rules:

- Leave at least 3 sentence comments. If you do not, the next poster has the choice to NOT to comment on your image and choose one from one of the previous posters, or the DPC roulette.
- Please take the comments as constructive criticism.

This could really be beneficial for everyone involved. Have fun with it. Besure at the end of the comment you put a link in to this thread.

To start out, I let DPC roulette select the pic.

I love the shot. There are great colors and it seems really calm.(Like the calm before the storm that is) The clouds are slightly grainy but I think it works for this shot.

I see that you did a remake of this shot:

While both photos are good, I prefer the original edit much better. The subject matter, and title, beg the viewer to consider what the building is/was used for. Was it a sniper tower? Or just another architectural casualty of war? Unfortunately, the idea behind the photo is too abstract for many challenge it was in. I say unfortunate, because this photo certainly did not deserve brown.

It wasn't a remake...I just re-edited. Oh the idea is not to use dpc roulette...the idea is to post comments on the previous commenters pics.

"Not a big fan of overused partial de-sat, but this one caught my attention. It does give an interesting perspective into the passing of life and how fragile it is. I would have preferred to see the kid's shoes in Sepia, and they would still pop out. Another thing I would have tried differently is to see the scene from a lower angle. "

Carry on please...
