This might be fun. Take all the neutral colors on DPC (black, white, and gray), and invert them. This isn't hard to do, and if Langdon is up to it, it might be a nice surprise for people to log on to DPC and see something they haven't seen every time they log in for the past 4 years. Here's what it would look like:

I just think something like this could really grab people's attention. DPC needs something new.

Would be really easy if they use CSS (which I am sure they do).

+1 for mixing it up a tad!

while i applaud your odd thinking, i think this would be the inverse of a good idea....just don't see what purpose it would serve....

Purpose? I think he purpose would be to mix things up around here. This site has become stale and repetitive. it's symbolism really!

I like the change but it kinda looks like 1x.com to me. I think it would be welcome to change the light grey palette though. It reminds me of Windows 98 or Mac 0S9

I dunno, it makes it look like you are using a Mac, with that Mac-ish tool bar running along the bottom like that.

Oh, wait! I own a Mac... Nevermind...

I've thought for a long time that the background shade should be user-selectable from any page on the site.

I like the darker background. I feel that an image has a better aesthetic appeal against a black or a darker background as opposed to a lighter one.

hear hear. I vote for 19% gray instead of 18% :)

In my rendition, I accidentally inverted the ribbons too. Now it goes... Yellow Turquoise, then Blue. lol

I like the darker look but the ribbons should stay in the order they are in now!!!! The darker background is easier on the eyes and makes the images POP more!

I suppose "Inverted DPC day" would necessarily include posting BROWN, SEPIA & TURD ribbons (last, 2nd to last and turd to last) on the homepage?
