Yeah, so sorry it doesn't count! OTOH, I am really wondering why I just rejoined my old DPL team. Sat out DPC for a while, and entered this one since it seemed to be a free study starting with A. Guessing it's either that the pet haters are out in force or maybe it's because my entry expresses an emotion rather than an object. 5.1x with 41 votes. |

I would certainly consider an emotion valid material. Anger and apathy come to mind. I would be looking to see if those emotions are conveyed by the image. I don't know which is yours of course, this not being a DPL challenge. |

Agree with Steve. When in doubt with an image, I am revisiting the dictionary definitions of a 'subject' (sorry for a re-iteration):
...something represented or indicated in a work of art; something concerning which something is said or done ; : the mind, ego, or agent of whatever sort that sustains or assumes the form of thought or consciousness (www.merriam-webster.com).
...something (a person or object or scene) selected by an artist or photographer for graphic representation; (www.wordreference.com).

went up a nice bit but has quickly started the descent. Hopefully I will score at or above my average for this one (which isn't saying much)

It's been downhill all the way since that high at 8 votes. Voters must really hate my shot although the 3 comments I got all say how much they like it.

After DPL, I'm outta here again. This is not a sub-5 shot, I am disgusted with the narrow interp of a theme that is essentially a free study. This place is way too stuffy and it makes my head explode. |

Lynne, you are not alone at all. Drives me nuts too, when pix I send to Alamy cause they meet every single fircking one of their 24 reasons to reject photos, score only about 5.5...
