I have a friend visiting from Croatia who is in the market for a good dslr and has decided he wants the Canon EOS7D. He found a site, "www.zwee.com" offering it for $847.00 (body only I think). This is about half the price everyone else has it.

Has anyone heard zwee.com? And if so, are they legit. My friend is on a limited budget and can't afford to get hosed. Any knowledgeable help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never heard of them, but the rule of thumb is "If it sounds to good to be true, it is"

I would avoid the site like the plaugue...

There is a network of sites that some believe are all run by the same company that are all a rip off. There is this website ratings that is pretty good about reviews of online stores. I looked up this one and there are two comments. One bad and one good.

Friend of mine was looking for a 5D when they first came out. I told him to get it from B&H or Adorama but he found this web site for a lot cheaper. Long story short. He got his camera after taking almost 8 weeks and he had to buy a "12 hour battery" to finally get it shipped and a memory card. After all was said and done he paid more than going where I told him and the "12 hour battery" was just the one that came with it anyways.

I had a long talk with the guys at my local camera shop. They match the price of B&H on their stuff so I just go there. As Five_Seat said "if it sounds to good to be true, it is"

First comment on resellerratings:

They are a bogus company... they never answer/return calls or any emails. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Any good comments are probably written by themselves.
