Has anyone been to Bryce Canyon or Zion National Park lately?
We are planning a trip later this summer to visit one or both. Yes, I know it will be a bit warm but not 115 like it will be in Phoenix.
Does anyone have suggestions as to one being better than the other and if you can recommend any good areas of the parks to be sure not to miss.

I have visited both several times including last summer. If you have time try and see both because each is completely different from the other.

As i live in Utah I've been to both several times, depending on if your a hiker or not, may be the deciding factor. Zion's though is much prettier and can easily spend more time there seeing that area.

you can PM me if you have any questions.

Visited both. And it's been awhile but I guarantee - you will never ever see anything like Bryce - don't miss it. That said, Zion is very very pretty so don't miss that either.

Zion has more trails, but it will be hot 100-105.
Brice will be cooler by about 20-25 degrees.

I've been to both, and enjoyed both. However, I think about Bryce all the time and want to go back. I have a fear of cliffs and I couldn't force myself to wander down to the bottom...and I dearly want to shoot up. Someday!!! Have fun.

This says it all! Both offer uniquely different experiences.

Ironically, as I write this I am in St. George, Utah at a McDonald's taking advantage of their free Net access while on a photo safari of my own to the area. But I'm not planning to go to either park!

The Grand Staircase-Escalante, which borders Bryce Canyon, and other out-of-the way photo sites are my special destinations. I like obscure or hard to access places. :)
