Lovely image! It almost looks like a painting. Did you use that for Christmas cards??

I, also, would like to thank everyone for the many ways that they encourage me to keep shooting, and keep learning from this wonderful community of talented, imaginative people.
Happy Holidays to All !

God Bless,
Linda

Karen, that picture is darling! What program did you use to do the "vignette" look?? I have PS 7, and PS Elements, but don't know how to do that yet.

Photoshop Elements.. I selected the area in a squiggley way with the lasso tool, and feathered it by 50 or 60 or so... then, copied the selection, onto a new white backdrop. This gave the hazy effect.
Originally, Max "posed" with the help of a treat held by my daughter on a white background paper roll that was also covering the floor. We wrapped a couple of empty boxes for props, and I used one 500 watt light with a reflector from about 45 degrees on my left, and low enough to cast good light on Max, but pointed a bit toward the ceiling so it wouldn't cause too much glare or be too hot.

Karen, Thanks so much for the info ! I am going to try that today.

I am so envious of all of you, and your beautiful Christmas photos. I didn't even send out Christmas cards - just can't manage to get in the spirit of things this year, but I'm still working on it!
