In celebration of finally nailing the rules down, I've decided to do it one more time. If anybody is interested in participating in a March PP side challenge let me know here. I would also like to hear any changes anybody would suggest.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, check out PP side challenge (round 4/4).

Yay!

I learned a lot and was fun to see others editing my shots.

I d like everyone who edits a shot to comment in every differently processed shot by others. That would be fun too!
(I hope this makes sense)

Sign me up. I haven't had a chance to participate as much as I wanted in the first round. It's been quite educational.

Looks like fun. I will give it a go.

I'm finding this highly valuable... Let's do it once more..

Oh, sure. I'm in.
This is a valuable side-challenge and it's really great of you to
continue it for another month.

I really try to do all photo's but 21 a week is a bit much for my time schedule. Also need to get a good entry for Eggs or Paralels challenge... spend time with wife & kids, run a company.

So count me in..... :-)

I heard there used to be a ppchallenge.com.....or something like that?

I'm in. This is saving me from boredom while I can't get out much.

That was before my time here, but I've heard about it. My version is a little different. ppchallenge.com had one photo that everybody edited, then people voted. I have many photos and winners are chosen by the contributors.

I'm in. One suggestion though, would it be possible to include the weekend days for editing? I expect I'm not the only one who doesn't get too much time during the week to do the edits. Last week I managed maybe 5, this week so far 1 and will likely not get more than 3 or 4 done before tomorrow. Does it really make any difference what the results are before we start editing the next batch? Just a thought.

I'd really like to take part. I need to learn as much as possible and this is a great thing you've got going.

You can put me back in again. It's been fun!

Good point Sarah! It actually works quite well for me as well. Unless anybody else objects, that's how we'll do it.

I'm hopelessly addicted now. I can't stop.

I'm not in any real challenges right now. All I do is pp.

you can sign me up...if you'll have me...I like seeing what people would do with my pictures...I don't have the fancy editing equipment but it's exposing me to what it can do...

Thanks Cynthia for taking this on...

I'll give it a try.

Whatever reservations I have, have to do with too many originals and, to a lesser extent, the quality of the originals. Let me amplify on that second comment: I had envisioned, when I heard of this challenge, a contest where we tackle reasonably well-exposed and realized images and show the different ways that thoughtful post-processing can change those images. We've already had PP challenges that fell into the "rescue" category. In THIS one, there's a bit of a split going; some real nice shots that can be taken in several different directions (what I'm interested in) and some really awkward, difficult shots that need PP magic to succeed at all.

This isn't really important, probably... But I'd suggest some sort of cap on images offered up. I vertainly have a few in mind, anyhow, for week 1 in early March :-)

It's a fun concept.

I've had it capped at 21, letting people contribute 1 per day until we had 21. I was a little concerned about it being too many myself, but nobody complained so I let it continue. I will be letting people edit through the weekend in March to give them more time (right now they have to stop Friday night). As far as quality goes... well, I don't really know how to correct that except to mention in the original post that we would prefer to have well-exposed originals and that's what I'll do. However, I smell trouble if I have to start trying to draw a line somewhere.

If you want some input from a kibbitzer (non-participant) I think you'll have more trouble if you don't draw a line somewhere -- one reason I'm not in this is there's no way I have time to edit 2-3 pictures/day. I'd suggest a limit of 5/week, or maybe 5 each of "good" and "rescue" photos.

Rather than having people post directly in the thread (it was mighty confusing to find things), I suggest that people PM you a link to their submission for a photo to work on, and you then post them all in a single post at the beginning of the week, whenever that round starts.
