Rules state:
-no larger than 300 KB (307,200 bytes).
-at least 160 pixels, and no more than 800 pixels on each side.

Having trouble resizing and getting the resolution correct for my first entry into a challenge (Free Study 2009-11)

Could someone point me in the right direction here? I'm not getting it, ha. I have PP, just need a bit of advice here.

Thanks!

Try this tutorial. Challenge entries can be 800px now, but that should still lead you through it.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the rules, so I thought I would let you know that posting images you intend to enter in a challenge is not allowed. If you intend to enter that photo, you should remove it from this thread and put it in your workshop folder so nobody can see it.

Like jeger said, If that is the photo you intend to enter, It is a good idea to remove it from your post.

A good way to resize is to resize several times a little bit at a time until you get to the size you intend to use.

Example. if your picture starts off a 3000px on the wide side, take it down to 2300, then 1600, then 800. Then check the sharpness etc...

Thanks for the replies. I was unaware I shouldn't post it before hand. Thanks again.
