i've been trying to work on my composition lately, rather then just showing the action.

i tried to include the riders watching on the side (on the thirds line) and then put the main subject on the intersecting thrids line.

bum shots are usually not a good thing for sports photos but i think it works here.

tell me what you think!

I don't think anything about it works, sorry. Including the bum, LOL. In your search for "composition" you've lost any sense of a focal point for the action and the image. If we could see his face, that might become a focal point, but...

Must admit i think it works as a collection of shapes, but you only have to look at my sciores and favourites to know that me liking it is the kiss of death.
