Just wondered if the site owners had considered running a comprehensive questionaire for everyone who visits the site. I would be really interested to know what the breakdown of vistors to the site is, covering things like, Location, Age, Earnings, Colour, Religion, occupation, Computer OS, Camera brand etc - you know the kind of stuff. I know we can get some of the data by user searches, but a proper survey would be very interesting. For example, I get the feeling that this is a predominately white website, sure I know we have a few black people on here, but has anyone ever wondered why its seems pretty extensively white?

I just think its would be a good time to try something like this.

Middle class hobby - but come of it, Simms, aren't you a Brit? What do you do when the census man comes around, lie, hide or both?

I just thought it would be a good idea - another website I am active on did the same thing and the results where very surprising but very interesting to boot.

What's in it for visitors? Why would they surrender the info?

They don't have to. Nobody has to. But if any significant number DO respond, that will be statistically valid information.

I don't get you?

Also, I wouldnt say its a middleclass hobby, I mean, look at some of the users we have here. Distinctly working or even underclass.

I totally agree - safe in the knowledge that there is no way that was directed at me..

Seriously though SC, what do you think?

We have plebs? Damn, take the survey!

On a more serious note, yes, why not, I'm sure it could be interesting. The internet can be a great leveller and a great mixer.

A lot of my aquaintances in the UK avoided being counted in the last (?) census - I guess they belong to an obscure under-the-radar class.

Ah right, not one of the mob who thought it would be `funny` to put their religion as `Jedi Knight`.

No, in fact I was counted several times under all the different names I go by.
