So my two year old today decided to drop test my wifes Tokina 100mm macro. One flight of steps and about three bounces. Lens cap came off, rear cover popped off, and the hood popped off. But, when you read about how the Tokina lenses are built solid, they are right. Everything works fine, not even a scratch or dent on it. I love Tokina....

I dropped my Tokina 12-24 from about 4 feet onto a cement walkway and all that happened was a small scuff on the barrel and a mangled lens hood. They should be called Tankina.

Yep... my 12-24 dropped straight onto concrete as well... worked until the day I sold it without a hitch... miss that lens.
