I'm not sure if this is the right location for my question. If not, please move the item, thanks

Tomorrow, me and some friends are going to recreate the garden, from a pile of garbage to a real garden with eatable plants. I want to create a stopmotion movie from this event with the help of my Canon 400D, Sigma 12-24 lens and my laptop.

I am searching for software to steer my DSLR, so I can make it to make a picture every 30 or 45 seconds or so.

Who can help me?

Hi! If you have the CD from when you bought your canon there is some software on it which can help you. The program you want is called EOS Utility I think and this enables you to control the camera from the laptop via USB cable. You can tell it to take however many pictures and also the time between shots. Hope this helps :)

EOS Utility works well for this (and it comes with the camera) as well as DSLR Remote Pro and GBT Timelapse. Also, check here fore more general Time-lapse info.
