Canvas on Demand

I have no affiliation with Canvas On Demand at all, but still felt the need to share with you all.

Too keep things brief, I'll give you the abbreviated version of a short story.

When I uploaded my image, I ordered the 16x20 canvas thinking that my image was cropped at 4x5. Yeah...it wasn't. It was 4x6.

CanvasOnDemand had a few options, from what I can tell:
1. Go ahead and print the canvas as is at 16x20 (since that's what I ordered)
2. Arbitrarily crop my image and print (which I guess is the same as #1)
3. Tell me to send the appropriate image size for the selected canvas (reasonable request)
4. Upsize the image (doubt it, but it's an option)
5. Charge me extra for the more expensive custom canvas size (16x24)

But what they chose to do was to notify me (politely) that I screwed up and that to assure a good fit, they were going to make the canvas to the custom size. At no extra charge to me.

The quality of the work is fantastic and I'm a very happy customer with that level of customer service. I don't order lots of canvases (in fact, that was only my second canvas ordered), so it's not like I'm their bread and butter client with a massive pipeline of future orders. Yet, they still went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy. And I am.

But you might someday become that "bread and butter client with a massive pipeline of future orders", so it makes sense to treat you right now. Too bad far too few businesses these days realise that. Obviously they've got it right :)

A while back I took advantage of the coupon they were offering for something like $80 off an order for photogs who could prove they were "professionals." I had one of my images printed on a 20x30 canvass, and because of the coupon was actually able to afford it. It's hanging in my living room now and I LOVE it. Photos just look better when printed big, and especially on canvass.

Their service was great, the quality was great, and as soon as I'm able, I'm going to get at least one more canvass for myself from them.

My lovely, beautifully done canvas of my daughter hangs on my bedroom wll. I opted to get it framed at the same time and it was VERY reasonable.

The C.O.D. folks are superb!

I think they are great too. My only beef with them is that I really like the way my shots show on canvas, and so I've spent a bundle with them!

I have had problems with defective canvases arriving--canvases that aren't fit for resale because there's a white spot--a fleck or two of toner/emulsion whatever missing. But they've always been auper good about replacing them. All it takes is a phone call. I just don't like having to ask, and would rather not have to. And I'm sure they would too, since they have to ship a replacement and that costs them money.

I heartily endorse them, and their customer service. They also keep your canvas original and the order information on file, so it's easy to reorder, and I've had them drop ship canvases to a customer. It helps to know and trust that the print you are sending is as good as the one you received as your sample/proof.

They are by far my favorite company to work with. Hands down. I always try to push the canvases with clients just so I can order them. I screwed up an order one time as well, and they politely called and and told me the issue and asked if I wanted to fix it. AMAZING!!!

From everything ive been reading/hearing, canvas gallery wraps/wall portraits, are going to be the bread and butter for photographers, with the standards small print sizes becoming add ons and throw aways, if that makes sense. Bigger is better, always.

Add me to the list of "Me Too's" -- I use CoD for all my canvas printing, they are super people to deal with and they have a fantastic product.

Just got an email from Canvas On Demand with another promo... If you don't already have a Pro Account they'll give you an $84 credit towards a wrap...

My experience with thme has been wonderful as well. I uploaded an image that ended up looking not so great on canvas....they gave me some tips on how to fix it....I sent it to them again, and at no additional charge they gave me another canvas with the new picture that ended up looking amazing. I really like their quality and service. I have spent a pretty penny there too!!
