Hello everyone!

I am a new photographer - started working on photography in a more serious manner in September 2008. Introduced to this site by coley who I met during a photography outing. I'm still learning my way around the site and hope to be able to contribute and learn so so much more in the coming months! The photographs I see here are amazing, and the talent great. It is a little overwhelming coming from my inexperience but I the first step it is!

Don't feel overwhelmed - there is a wide mix of us and there is most definetly a place for you to fit in! Just a fair-warning - it can be a bit of a madhouse around here! But it grows on you! And this place is very very addictive - I swear I am going to lose my job one of these days from being logged onto DPC too much!

Great to have you on board!!!

Welcome! Somewhere around here is an unofficial guide to DPC--I don't remember where. Find it! It's a lot easier to read about these things than to find out the hard way!

Have fun, and don't let the trolls get you down!

Thank you all for a wonderful welcome! I ready the Unofficial Guide to DPC and nearly choked on my coffee! That is *funny*! Hopefully I won`t become too addicted, but heh, it is all for the sake of learning :)

It's nice to see more Canadians join in to add quality and refined behaviour to the site. It's a good learning experience for the Americans. ;-)

Welcome aboard this crazy ship called "DPC", Sheri!

I love Toronto. I have a great time every time I go there. This is one of my favorite Toronto images that I captured:

Beware of Slippy. He's a whiley little squirrel!
Welcome to the family...

Refined behaviour?? Like chasing squirrels and rolling melons down hills!!

You are most welcome to this lot! In fact, you are very welcome to take half of them away to a very dark lonely place. Enjoy yourself and get to know the sane members...did I just say that? My meds are due soon;}}

Tronna, eh? Maybe you're The One who can answer this question, then: why are they called the Maple Leafs? Shouldn't that be "Leaves"?

RE: Newbie from Toronto, Ontario! Popping in

Welcome! Much better than an oldie from Burlington popping off.

Have fun.

Love the shot, great work on that. Funny... I see the top of that building almost daily :) They say the hardest shots are those in your own backyard. I swear one of these days I'm going to take a pile of shots from around here and ship them off to some exotic place...

Thank you so much for telling me about this site way back when. I have been all over this site in the past two days just browsing (with pen and paper in hand so I can link back to whomever inspires an idea or two O.o) I feel so small here ... lol ... But it is incredibly inspiring.

*big smiles*

Hey Sheri, welcome aboard this madhouse.....take a tip and don't venture anywhere near challenges....there is a torturous button there named UPDATE...I warn you...It's more addictive than Heroine (so I'm told)....My index finger is about half the length that it was before I started to enter challenges....my hair has gone from a light brown to a very light grey....I have bags under the eyes, a nervous tick and can be highly volatile when interrupted clicking the UPDATE button....
I suppose there is one consolation that you can take solace in...You'll be like every other poor soul on this site....

Hope you have a ball (a red wine and a sedative might be a better choice)..

Looking forward to seeing some of your stuff:-)

Isn't Canada technically America, too?

Yup! I was going to say U.S., but I was just playing off of Judi's quote. It's all her fault ;O)

Hey Sheri

I stumbled onto your page the other day! Welcome.
Coley also got me started onto this madness. DAMN HIM!!

Have fun and heed the warnings of Strikeslip aka Slippy. (I am embarrassed to be Canadian cuz of him)

If you are ever up in the Barrie area give me a click and we will connect.
