When checking my spam filter for false-drops, I see the usual list of "buy this" "make this bigger" "work from home" and blah blah blah. Sometimes I see the more creative "Hey, Carl, you need to read this" or "Steve, tell me what we did last night," etc -- which I would classify as a bit of social-engineering spam.
Today I found a whole new kind, though. Took me so much be surprise, I even opened one and looked. The subject was (paraphrased) "You do all the wrong things!" (which caught my eye as at least being a little different)... and in the message, it basically was a series of insults and explanations why my life was so miserable and I was a horrible, worthless person. Followed, of course, by a link to where I could buy something to make it all better.
I guess we have a new category of spam now -- the self-deprecation/self-pity spam message.
I just found it amusing. :P

Yeah like those ones that are "in response to your online query", which I get in my husband's e-mail and he has been deceased for nearly 3 months!!! They make me sick.
