For those that won't leave the June side challenge, let's take off our "serious" hats, turn the music up, and continue here until the last partygoer leaves.

No sign-up thread, no rules, no pressure. Show us anything on the street, candid shots of people, whatever might be of interest to the street photography crowd.

Feel free to repost anything here that might have been missed as the June side challenge was winding down.

in keeping with the relaxed style of this thread.....here is a group of hippies busking at a beachside carpark.

So no people in this, thus not really a street image as such, but it was something I spotted on a recent holiday that made me smile

Street Photography in Colour

Should be right up our street! So to speak.

Some good examples here

Good link and great work. He's not just shooting people doing nothing. He incorporates a lot of different elements in each image nicely. Well thought out stuff.

.....

I put the earbuds in my ears, called somebody, & walked around looking for interesting street shots. Cross one more item off my list. These were both taken while walking. I discovered that if the camera is attached to my head with earbuds, people do not assume I am taking pictures. They assume it's an iPod. So now I'm hooked. Gonna to go try it again today. My first digital camera was a 2MP DImage. My, how things have changed.

Thanks, Sarah. I'm looking forward to this one also. (In fact, I think I shot my entry today.)

Lara Wechsler is a Brooklyn-based photographer who does most of her work in color. She's been getting some press lately too (see the Sigma lens ads in PopPhoto). Here's her photoblog:

Was thinking of keeping this one for the challenge, but I think I have a better unrelated one. Hope I don't regret my decision!
