I would like to apologize to everyone that entered and participated in the 1000th challenge for not being able to get the collage to print. In good faith I wanted to do something special to remember the event by producing a printable size collage that consisted of every entry.

Getting it to print has gone from expectation to implausible nonetheless I want to thank everyone that sent there yeas or nays by completing one or the other forms giving or denying permission the use of their thumbnail picture. Regrettably, on my own, I could not acquire enough response to send the collage to print.

As I stated before, I sent langdon an Administrative and General PM under the Help > Contact section but as of today, still no reply. One of the SC members did say [by PM] they were going to discuss the project when they get together but I haven’t heard anything else.

So I send all of you my apologies. I wish I could get the collage to print were anyone that would like to have a piece of DPC history could, but I don’t think it will take place.

Sorry to get your hopes up.
Scott

Edit to clarify: I'm not saying langdon is not wanting this to go to print or that he is not working on this or another collage. I was hoping it would get to print faster. Maybe one day.

Your efforts, I am sure, are appreciated by all.

Don't worry about it.....it was a genuinely decent effort, but I pretty much think everyone admired you more for your efforts than had the expectation of it coming to fruition, though certainly not from any lack of commitment on your part.

I was pleased and honored to have sent in my "Yeah, here's my blessing!" and I was happy to be a part of DPC history in the 1000th challenge.

Never say never. It may take a while, but it's not something that's terribly time-sensitive, so if it takes Langdon a month to get to it, then we'll just wait! :)

And do NOT apologise for trying to do something good, EVER. You know we appreciate what you do on and for DPC and we wuvs ya :)

Its an incredible collage, and no doubt took a lot of work. Disappointing that it couldn't go to print, but hopefully that could still happen.... Regardless, print or no print, it quite the achievement.

I know my inquiries to langdon have taken a while to get a response, but either way it's a great effort and no apology necessary.

Scott, you are such an inspiration! Whether or not this gets printed you made something incredibly special, something I'm very proud to have been a part of.

Scott no apology needed! A brilliant idea and I'm sure something will come of it - so stick in there. After all what else were you going to do with all that time you spent putting the collage together:)

If your planning on printing it with only the photos that you have permision from then why not set it up on any of the printingg websites and let us know what the URL is and we can then go there and order it. It doesn't have to necessaryly be on DPC.

Or better yet, post the full size image on flickr and we can download it for free.

My .02 cents

Oh my God, I feel so terrible now.. I completely forgot to mail you my approval. I really admire your work on this, and the effort you put into it. Is it to late to send you an approval?

Thank you for your efforts. I really do appreciate. Who knows it may still happen and when it does I want to buy a print for my new office at work. I have just the spot for it. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'd rather have a print than downloading it for free because if I did that, it would just be another file on my computer that I never do anything with lol.
