Took this a while ago. Still unsure of what caused the "halo" effect above the tower. I am guessing it is a reflection, but from where? I took four or five similar shots and they all have the same halo on them. Any ideas?

Taken through a window/glass of some sort? UV Filter on the lens?

It's totally a UFO.

Kidding! Actually, it looks to me like it's a reflection of the biggest ring of lights and the smaller one above it. I'm not sure what it reflected into get there though. I was actually just taking some night shots and got similar halos over the city lights, so I'd like to know the answer too!

I was outside when I took this, so I know it's not from a window. I do however have a UV filter.
