Just got the following...
We regret to inform you that your submission to the Free Study 2009-03 challenge ("PHOTO TITLE REDACTED") has been disqualified for the following reason:
You must retain your original, unedited file (exactly as recorded by your camera), and provide it to the Site Council along with a list of your editing steps within 48 hours of any validation request. Files that have been saved or altered with any editing or transfer software are NOT originals.
Your entry has been reviewed by the Site Council and/or Administrators, who have confirmed that your submission must be disqualified.
Thank you for your continued participation in DPChallenge, and please do not let this deter you from submitting photographs for future challenges!

| Yes, I got one too.... Wrote a pleading reply and then when I wrote - It is only April 1st... I realized it was April Fools. Good joke. |

Pain in the butt for those of us in Aus, for whom April Fools Day finished long ago, and we have moved onto our normal lives.
Yes I got one as well. My Image is not a single capture so it seems........... |

| Mine was for entered in more than one challenge, and the funny part was that it was shot 3/31 so that couldn't have happened! |

Mine was for having multiple accounts--got taken, emailed admin and everything (votes had stopped coming thru for the last 3 hours or so, so it fit all too well).
Dammit!! Must Plot Payback. |

| I fell for it. With the day I've had, it almost didn't surprise me to get an email like that---I got a parking ticket, got yelled at by a stupid neighbor, spent the afternoon at the dentist, and my dog and cat apparently figured out how to open the refrigerator and eat all the pork chops---no April fool's joke. So yeah, when I got that email I said to myself "figures" and a few other choice words. |

Not so bad as your day, but my primary domain expired yesterday and I got my last email around 8:40 this morning. Did not realize the domain had expired until 8:00 tonight. so when mine said I'd gotten validation request, I thought maybe I'd lost it in the ether!

Unfortunately I was [hoping they were messing with the scores. Good thing I don't have to worry about my crappy score, seeing as my image was disqualified for not being made from a single capture. :-P |

I got one 5 mins ago ( it's now well into APril the 2nd here in Oz ) say that my submission to the March Open was disqualified because I have two accounts. God knows I find it hard enough to submit photos for one account never mind two.........!
..and now reading below, yeah I fell for it, emailed admin, checked the sent address ( we get a lot of hoax emails from "banks" here ) and even moaned at the wife! ( Didn't kick the dog coz he's in the other side of Australia! )
haha bl**dy ha. That hurt! It's also my first submission that's done reasonably well for weeks so it really hurt! |

mine: You may not add graphics, clip art, computer-rendered images or parts of other photographs to your entry or its border during editing.
