Im in. I finally made a decision. Im gonna be regretting it all night and second guessing myself, was it really my fave, it it good, what if i get a 3?!

I went with a combination of my fave days shooting ever and one that may actually have artistic appeal - a shot which I always liked but had never really edited & I think it turned out good! |

Here is a question?
If we reach over 900, will DPC:
-extend voting & commenting to be 2 weeks?
-or will the voting be for 1 week but comments are open for another week THEN winners/line-up is announced?
-or will this just be the standard 1 week for the vote & commenting?

In the past, voting numbers, etc. have been evaluated towards the end of voting. If it still looks "active" Langdon may extend it. If things have "slowed down" it may just be one week. |

i ahve two excleent photos(in my opinion at least) that i cant enter due to lack of originals. i guess photoshop stamped them or something |

Hey Langdon,
We will not be able to do anything like that without your support either. Please consider those suggestions about extending the voting period and maybe rising the 20% tresshold, at least for this challenge. With so many entries the odds for pictures not to be even seen by most voters are huge. And that does not work in the fairness direction. We all subdits wait to listen to your words in this regard.

- What will be the break up of Landscapes, Portraits, Pets, Still Life, Drops, Bugs?
- Will the Lanscpae from Iceland win ribbon once again? How many Iceland lanscape entries in top 20?
- It seems like there will be generous voting. What will be the top score in the challenge?

With so many entries, there can be tie at top three or for the last position. ;o)

I've just swapped out an outtake that would have got me a guaranteed 6+ score for one that I really like but I doubt will do so well.
It's not always about scores is it? |

Okay, for better or worse, I'm in. I got really depressed, going back through everything. Maybe it's the new lcd monitor, but I'm now seeing horrendous amounts of noise in shots that I thought looked great a couple years ago. And my non-existant filing system did NOT make browsing easy! (Gotta get on that.)
I edited... I re-edited...I started editing and gave up...over and over ad nauseum. I finally ended up pulling one out of my portfolio that very few had looked at. It suffers from the size restrictions though, so I don't expect a great score. Ah well, this one's all in the great DPC spirit, right? :)
