The best things you can say about this is that it's on film and it's b&w. I think it was taken around 1966. I was a graduate student in Mexico and had to take my car out of the country every six months. That meant a trip to the border, spend the night, and turn around and come back for another six months. This was taken at a gas station somewhere in South Texas. All I remember is that it was really hot.

The camera was a Pentax H3v and I was probably using Kodak Plus X film which I developed in the university dark room.

From the roll I just had processed but taken a year ago.

I finally got something fresh to put in this thread : -)
The first 3 were shot while Scott scooter97 was down here to visit and shoot some critter photos earlier in the month. We had a fine afternoon roaming around the area shooting anything that moved.

I guess extending this S C is useless if nobody's posting pics anymore...:/

I've got a roll of film drying right now. Of course, on problem is the amount of time it takes to shoot a complete roll, then develop, scan etc. It's been great fun for me getting back into it.. How about film "post anytime thread" even a film gallery?

Since my stuff takes three weeks to process extending it would work for me. LOL

I've got 2/3 of a roll still in the camera plus a few more 36s to shoot.

Why not just leave it open and we post when we get new stuff. (Just have the SC change the title to remove March).

Kind of posting to myself here. I'm having great fun shooting, processing and scanning film though. Looking forward to an avalanche of photos before the SC ends?

Okay, developer tray are on the way from B&H. Very slow going. (To remind everyone, I'm building a pinhole camera out of an oatmeal box and plan to do my own black and white developing.)

If I get one entry posted by the end of the month (challenge), I'll be happy. Meantime, I've dropped a few comments around. Nice work, everyone!

Update: Success! Finally got the chemicals and set up my black and white darkroom (actually, I've had the chemicals, but just now found time to undertake this). I took "Quaker Cam 1" out this weekend [what?]. My first two tries were overexposed beyond recongnition, but my second two tries rendered two respectable photographs.

Now the challenge is scanning them. I have a poor excuse for a scanner, but I'll figure something out and have these up by Tuesday. I'll participate in this side challenge yet!

Quite a high, by the way, building your own camera and developing your own pictures. Look for more to come...

Squeezed in one more roll before the end of the month. :)

Enjoyed seeing what the rest of you guys were shooting with the pre-digital equipment.

bazz.

who is in to make this a permanent thread?

Sure it's slowed down but could be interesting to just post something when we have it.

Yes, make it permanent. I was too busy to participate this month. I'm going to start shooting film again and would love a place here to share them.

I've just started to shoot film. I have no scanner yet but I'd love to join the thread as soon as possible.

By the way, I'm shooting with a Nikon-F, a Holga and a Lubitel 166.
