I bought a gift membership earlier today as a surprise for a member whom politely did not accept since he does not have time to submit for challenges anyway due to school.
I would still like to give the membership away. If you're a student or another amateur photographer that enjoys DPC for what it is but not able to prioritize money to DPC at the moment, please let me know. I do of course not expect anything in return. |

That's a very very generous offer. I'm sure there's a deserving case here, but if not I'd take it and give the equivalent of the membership to a UK charity (only because I'm not a member not because I can't afford it, but I chose to spend my money on other things).
Kind of a win/win/win scenario.

cytoxan: DPC might be the right thing for you but it's not for everyone. You only registered a month ago or so and I would suggest you enter a few open challenges before deciding to become a member unless of course money for membership is no object.
I'm not setting any requirements for the free membership but I would rather this particular gift membership go to someone that knows DPC well and have been actively submitting for challenges for a bit - either as a non-member or one that need to renew.
But my offer still stands for you. If you still feel you want to be a member after a few months of challenges and you can't afford it, send me a PM and I will give you a membership anyway. |

I am so proud of anyone who does this for another member....and usually a stranger. I have lost count of how many Gift Memberships I have bought for people. I love to see people grow in their hobby and it gives me great pride to be able to give them the opportunity to do so.

not to sound needy...but i need a membership renewal. :(
I realy love it here at DPC, and cannot imagine where my photography would be without it.

I ended up giving it to  cytoxan; the first person that responded. He convinced me that he will be an exemplary DPC enthusiast and that we will see his photography in the member challenges in the coming months :)
Sorry... I should have posted the result here but thought before I went to bed that this thread had been buried too deep to surface again. |

Thank you soooo much I can only hope my skills here on DPC can be as good as most I have been seeing on here for past few months. Thanks again trollman for the genorous offer.
