Ah, the speed voters in the first 5 minutes, 3 votes for 5.

You beat me to it. I was too slow in coming up with something witty. My idea was something along the lines of "scoring on a date".

First vote was a 6 for me.

Better than usual start....I'm optimistic! :-)

Nice 7 to start, followed by a 5... so currently 6 after two votes... :)

I pulled my entry. I just crack up when the directions say "Your title should be the month to which your photo belongs," yet most entries have a long verbose name. Isn't it just supposed to be the month?

I digress.... off to vote on the images, not their titles.

Still a 6 after 3 votes.

Well, to be fair, those who obeyed the terms of the brown ribbon deja vu and got burned because the original # wasn't in the title may have played it safe and included the month in the title.

I won't penalize so long as a month name is in the title.

Ok, I say to my husband "oops, got a 4" and he says "yeah..." like, of course. (he thinks I made the wrong choice on what to enter)

I never went back and reread the challenge. I had it in my mind that it had to include the month. sorry!

I think it should be the title of the calendar and the month. People would be confused if you just entered an image of a snake, but if you titled it "Reptile Love- July" then it would make more sense.

that is my opinion anyways.

Oh I know. I'm just being snippy, but it doesn't affect my voting scores.

I'm getting very sleepy, and I still only have 9 views... I was going to hang around for 10 votes, but I think that might take awhile.

good luck everyone! (just got a 3)

Well, you were nice to me, so I am not complaining. :)

Some of the 5's rolled in. If a low vote from the early voters is a 5, I'm doing well.

Sorry you pulled yours, Jutilda!

Since the instructions do not say 'only the month's name' as a title, I would interpret it as 'including the month's name'.

Looks like I wasnt the only one who didnt read the instructions clearly. Geez.. I have a feeling I am going to get killed for not just having the month's name. Sigh...this is one of those where the title matters. :(
02/23/2009 12:33:41 AM · #24
I didn't see much need to include anything else in the title. It's pretty clear for most entries what sort of calendar they would go into. I'm not going to either ding or credit anyone for how they handled the title.
02/23/2009 12:33:43 AM · #25
It does say your title should be the month... Not should include or anything like that. But, I do think it is nitpicking, as long as the name of the month is there.
