Processed this one after I found my 1000th Gem - it was in the same folder, taken the same day.

A snapshot from me this week. Primarily an exercise in pulling in detail from blown highlights and shadows. I'm pleased, since the first time I tried to fix this pic, I didn't have the know-how to do it.

I haven't given up, but I'll need to do a bucket load of catching up - may take me a month! My children are on school holidays so I may not be around for a bit - but still hopeful. |

I've felt so bad that I have been too busy to participate! I started this thread for a reason! I need to go through my old photos and finish them. But unfortunately, work has taken over my free time. But I decided I had to find some time--even if it's only a little.
So here's a quick one--took me 10 minutes to edit (usually, I spend more time thinking about what to do!)

I got distracted and haven't posted to this thread for about a month. These three will serve triple duty: in this thread, the Topaz SC for May, and to post with an article about this place on Brent's site, The Roving Photographer
These were shot in february of '08, just after I got my Rebel and I was still trying to figure it out. Many of my indoor shots were a touch blurry and many of my outdoor shots were slightly overexposed. I had also not become acquainted with RAW yet. This place is only about an hours drive for me. I may go back again sometime in the near future.
