I currently opeate CS2 and I cant open my First RAW files I shot as testers with my new Camera.will I need to go to CS4 to open these or am I missing something !
Please advise.

Sorry.
I mean to say that I can see the Raw Files in the Canon softwhare but how do I convert them to jpeg |

Bibble would do it for you, (just the lite version) and a whole lot more besides, but if it opens in the Canon software, it should have a 'save as' option, where you can then select your chosen format.
I don't use the Canon software much, but I will try to have a look for you a bit later - it is there, just not very ihtuitive as I recall. |

Adobe didn't add support for the 5D-II until Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 5 (current is v5.2). Since ACR 5 and later is not compatible with Photoshop CS3, let alone CS2, I think you need to upgrade to CS4.

I couldn't open the raw files as well, I upgraded to CS4 but still needed to download a plugin to open the raw files. Dpp can read it and also zoombrowser. |

You can use software included with the camera, Canon's "Digital Photo Professional", and I think that you then import the corrected raw image into photoshop as a .tiff file.
Supposedly DPP is greatly superior to Adobe's current raw converters anyway. Lots of discussion about this subject at dpreview.. |
