My photo of one of my dogs is the cover shot on the new artist featured lightbox on shutterstock! It's my top selling image on that site at over 160 sales in less than two months.
What a buzz :)
I can't wait to see one of my shots in print. Anyone else have success with finding their photos out in the world? I haven't even found one online yet, and yes I do use tineye.

congratulations...now show us a link ;)

What is this tineye you speak of? Not that any of my shots are worthy of being used elsewhere...well maybe this one
lol. I'd still like to see if they are out there anywhere. I'm also very curious about one of my DPC Prints images that I sold 5 at one time to the same person...can't help but wonder why they needed 5 of it.

Congrats, Sarah ( Penny Lane)!
As sabphoto said, we could use a visual. Do you have the photo in your DPC portfolio?

Congratulations!

Tineye is a search engine for finding the same image on the internet. You pick an image and they will tell you if their bot/crawler found this images or one that is very similar anywhere else. They are still in beta.

I don't know how to create a link but it's just on the sutterstock home page, www.shutterstock.com near the bottom of the page.
Interestingly this shot was rejected from istock.

Nothing unusual about that. Some of my most popular images were rejected at iStock too. Lately almost everything I submit is rejected there. I don't know how to please them any more.

Congratulations on your success with that image. That's a nice looking portfolio you've got there - and some very cooperative dogs!

Wow, never knew about TinEye. Just found a shot of mine on 42 sites. We knew it was out and about when we saw it posted on MySpace as an Epic Fail picture.

Daughter feels kinda like a celebrity... :)

Wow! You have some great stuff and what a buzz to see so many in use. My dog shot has now sold 193 times and I still haven't seen it anywhere. I would love to see some shots of the kids and the dogs in use.

Congratulations.
I am amazed at how few of my images I see.
One of my best selling images has sold nearly 900 times. I saw it in use for the first time in the weekend.
I had to laugh though as it was a photo of an indoor swimming pool I took in a hotel in Switzerland. It was used on a web page called something like "Hotels of London". :D

Though I have seen quite a few images over the years.

Yes, you have to register with TinEye.

When I saw the thread title :My dog's a star!" my first thought was "Are you Sirius?"
