Two questions... First, in Advanced Editing, if I hung an object by fishing line, would it be okay to clone out the fishing line? Second, how about cloning out text? Say I photograph a pencil, would it be acceptable to clone out the text on the pencil? Neither one would be drastically altering a photo, so *I think* it would be okay but I just wanted to check.

As I understand it, fishing line is OK as long as it doesn't alter the description of the photo. Same withe text on the pencil, although, text on the pencil does not violate the "no text" rule. I'd leave it in if it wasn't too distracting.

On either issue, you can always submit it to the site council for an opinion before the entry deadline.

As for the pencil, instead of cloning the text on it, why not turn it so you no longer see the text. That would make it easier for you.
