I have been contacted trough model mayhem by a guy who tells me he is a scouter from this group and is inviting me to a kind of "scouting interview" in a hotel, he says that they are an image bank located in NY, that is looking for contribuitors from Mèxico and that they have seen some of my pictures and liked them... The thing is that the hotel in located in a not very good area of the city (and doesn`t look like it is a fine hotel or something) and well, it`s Mèxico, I have to be a little paranoic... Their webpage seems ok, I just want to know if anyone has heard of them, or maybe is working with them... Their lynks : WIN initiative and Hans Neleman the director of the company in NY.
I have readed about so many scams that I`m just being extra carefull in here, so I hope to have some feedback from you and what you think...

Never heard of them Gaby. But their website looks pretty good. Bear in mind that anyone could send you links to those websites, and not especially the owners. If he is legit I suspect he might not mind a slight change of location to make you feel more comfortable. I also think if he is what he says, he won't mind a couple of big, strong friends accompanying you on the meet. It only takes a little planning to be safe. It only takes a brief lapse in attention to end or ruin you life. I'd be darn careful if I were you. I'm hoping this the real thing and they really want to use your work. You have some really great images.

Gaby, this sounds very strange to me. Is Hans Neleman the one contacting you? I assume not, from the way you phrased this. If not, I would contact Hans through WIN immediately and tell him you have heard from 'so-and-so" who claims to be recruiting for WIN and wants to set up a meet in a cheap hotel, and see what his response to this is.

| I think I`ll be asking a friend to come with me, or I`ll give the details to someone and take my cellphone with me... If this is the true thing it sounds really cool actually... Not an oportunity I want to throw away just for fear :) Thank you guys, I think I`ll write to the director or to the company page just to check anyway :D |

Hey all! today I went to the scouting, the thing was legitimate :D and I``m actually quite exited about it :D I still have to read it and all but probably I will give it a try...
