Hi all,
A few snaps of US boxer Bernard Hopkins. As usual I had less than 10 minutes for the shots. Used natural window light for the first two and the lamp on my softbox for the other one - No flash just the modeling light.
Any comments much appreciated.
Cheers all
Jeff

The first thing I notice is the hand positions, they look unnatural to me. I like the poses and lighting is good but the first two the hands just don't look right. Good portraits for the ten minutes you had for them IMO.

Its probably cause the dude has large, beat down hands. I didn't notice the hands and don't find them obtrusive.

Knowing about Mr. Hopkins fairly well, I believe his face certainly tells the long story of his career as it is coming to an end....and that is a credit to both his willingness and your ability.

What a great shoot. Are you going to shoot the Calzaghe fight? I like the first one the best, but the last one really shows how well built he is. Not an ounce of fat. Thanks for posting the shots, I really enjoyed them.

Great shots, Jeff. I like the natural light ones, but his eyes in the final shot are really expressive. Excellent control on that flash, too.

Very nice Jeff...I prefer the second one. The lighting really works...and Cutter mentioned that his career is coming to a close, the gaze out the window is like looking to the future and what's out there. Once again...you done good!

Great shots and great lighting - both natural & artificial.
