I've had someone ask me to join Meebo(I know this person, but don't necessarily trust their internet savvy). I'm curious if anyone knows anything about this and can vouch for it's relative safety (virus and spam).

Looks like a chat program that can be used to chat with anyone on any other chat program without logging into them individually.
Never used it so can't say how safe it is. |

Having taken a quick look at the privacy and security details on the meebo site, wikepedia and McAfee SiteeAdvisor it would seem ok.

I had been thinking about checking out messenger, but am now thinking I might check out meebo instead. It looks like it also has an interesting FireFox toolbar extension. |
