Well I will start with this macro rich velvet on the underside of a large Staghorn. Taken with my new lens. Canon EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro USM Lens

I'm not really happy with the blurry piece of sugar south west of the center, but hey, I have to start thinking about tomorrows macro now! I'll try to find an insect, if I can - most are sleeping this time of the year up here.

This month is going to be a great experience for me! Having just got my Macro lens last Tuesday today was the first time I used it, I have a lot to learn and this is as good a place as any to inflict my early 'rubbish' ;o)

It has a very special place in my heart for many reasons.

day 1 : reflection

got started late this afternoon, but had time to get a bunch of shots taken in advance... get used to this flower... you'll be seeing it again during the month. i actually like this shot so much, i uploaded the print version. not that i ever sell prints, but hey... why not?

just wanted to say that i have been, and will continue, trying to leave comments that are constructive. if i don't leave a comment, the assume someone else already said it for me...

trying to do more than just gush over the ones i really like and ignore the ones i don't care for...
