87% of people are Steve. Altogether too few are Frank and Earnest. Most people are Bob and nearly everyone is Bruce. 100% are confused.

Of course...and one more page and we would have found divine enlightenment and been able to provide world peace and a cure for disease and hunger...but that is ok. We can start over.

So I will put it up to a vote..

1) alan
2) boB52’s
3) bruce_almighty
4) oatmeal (which describes my mind after 3-4-5 or so beers)

We interrupt the usual fun and games of the TS thread with a (slightly) more serious note.

It's time once again for me to raise money to fight Multiple Sclerosis. This year's walk is April 5. The reaction from Team Suckers last year was overwhelming, so I feel reasonably comfortable putting it out there again.

This is Lindsay. She was diagnosed in 1991:
[thumb]592506[/thumb]

As a wedding gift (we got married in 1993), I wrote this poem for her. It's a more direct style than the poetic gurus on TS tend toward, but it's from the heart.

My Lindsay, strong and good, has love,
that lights the night, below, above.
With spirit no despair can mar,
her heart burns bright, an inner star.
Compassion, joy, the thrill of life -
all reasons why she'll be my wife.

My Lindsay walks beside me now;
I know I'm lucky and somehow,
around the bends we'll seek the sun.
Disease, religions, overcome,
the way is clear: together, one.

If you'd like to donate, please go to my MS walk page.

Thanks!

Just happened to notice that out of the 17 TSers I sent ballots to last Monday for this week's OOBIE only two have voted. Rather than laboriously send out reminder notices to 15 people, I figured a general announcement was more expedient. :)

Anyone who needs me to resend the ballot to refresh their memory please PM me; otherwise, please vote or I'll have to flip a coin! :)

Not a problem, Christian, thank you. Partly my fault for not noticing the situation sooner...

I have been saving my money for 6 months, plus I am getting a larger than expected tax refund.... so I am upgrading my camera. I am not sure yet which one I am upgrading to, but that is beside the point.

I have decided to donate my Canon 10D to a deserving but poor up and coming photographer. I have been thinking about it alot, but still have no idea about the best way to choose the appropriate person to give it to. Any ideas from Team Suck (you guys always seem so full of good ideas).

The Palm Beach Photographic Center runs programs for children "at risk". Maybe there is something like that in your area. If so, they might really appreciate a donated camera.

Bob, for what it's worth, I like your photos a lot. I just want to point out one thing about the idea above. I think the images in challenges get a lot more views than ones that are only posted in a portfolio.

Hey, I like all three of y'alls work!

Maybe we could do a TS Photo of the Week.

We could start its own thread, each of us that felt like it could submit an image, one week submit, one week vote & comment, one week view.

If we just did it informally, it probably wouldn't be unmanageable.

Oh.....

I broke down and have entered B&W in Color and Pet Portrait.

I was hoping someone'd look at the two pet portrait shots I had, but nobody did, so I'll have to take Lisa and Eleanor's choice for my decision.

This is the one that got cut from the competition: [thumb]650248[/thumb]

If sitting around watching scores isn't challenging enough try something different - like getting an adrenalin rush in the pursuit of the bride and groom.

How long does the SC normally take to review submitted tutorials? Just sent one in for the first time, and I'm impatient :)
