Just got done voting after 4 hours between two days.....I have heard a lot of complaints about the quality not being that great, but I gotta disagree with some of those voters, these pics were just insane great.... Here is what I gave out...

Had a rocky start (5.4 after 20 votes, 6.0 this time yesterday) but there has been quite the upward trend over the past 24 hours! I like where this is headed... hopefully I can squeeze a few more tenths out of this. |

Well, I decided after reading the threads that I should shoot for a 6+ for my first challenge on here that getting a ribbon was going to be out - but I always like to operate with a goal (don't know how reasonable it is) but I'm hanging in there for now.

I have voted on all and commented on 17% so far. I plan on trying to hit 25-35% comments by the end of the week. I want to comment on all except my ones rated 6, which was my average vote given on this.

My goal (which is fairly reasonable) is aim to score higher than your "Avg Vote Received".
For example: My "Avg Vote Received" before this challenge was 5.2352. With my current entry (Best of, see below) my "Avg Vote Received" is 5.3089. Does that make sense? Just my personal goal with each entry.

The one comment I received was absolutely useless. "Not the best picture of [subject]". Wow. I think a comment that might be only slightly less useless would be "Your mother smells of Elder berries". Oh well. I'm not expecting a whole bunch of comments in this challenge anyways due to the number of entries.
Aside from that I've decided to give one vote for every one I receive. I'm one behind by the look of it.

Knowing that my father was a hamster could actually prove to be quite useful. It would explain why all my shots are taken from such a low angle. Knowing my mother smells of elder berries has no bearing on my photography. If she were to smell of something foul and I were to pick up that scent, it would explain why my portait shots are of people off in the distance. Elder berries, while not entirely pleasant, aren't that bad so their odour would not affect my photography negatively or positively.
Wow I've been on this site too long ... :)
