My solution to that is to use Lightroom to determine which image to use then from Lightroom show in windows explorer and drag onto the Wukong window. You can drag multiple files at the same time.

You can drag them from Adobe Bridge too, it's very simple :)

Ok, here is another file. The one on the left was a Photoshop HDR and the one on the right was done using the Project Wukong Software. the Wukong software produced a better image in my opinion.

You can view RAW images just like you can jpegs with this download. I have it on my machine and I love it.

Only if your camera raw file is supported. Mine isn't but I shoot raw + jpg so windows explorer shows the jpeg.

RAW thumbs don't show. It appears not to support the 40D.

Well I dont know what happened but when I installed the porgramme and then installed the net frame programme it started doing strange things to my computer, error reports etc. So I uninstalled the nete frame programme and had even more serious error reports. My brother came to visit today and had to do a system restore for me which didn't happen easily due to the error reports I kept getting. Computer back to normal now. So I think I will leave this one alone. A pity because I really wanted to give this a try.

Canon used to have a Raw Image viewer Codec that you could download off their site so that you can see 40D files in Windows Vista. I have it running on my computer and have full view of the files. I tried to find the link on the site for you but couldn't see it anymore.

Maybe somebody on this site has it saved on their computer and can get it to you.

Here's my first try with it - [thumb]635435[/thumb] (plus a little extra moon in there for fun)

After using Photomatix for a year, this new software seems to have more contrast and the immages appear less "flat" than in Photomatix. There's a lot more detail in the new program.

The Vista Codec works with WinXP SP2...

//www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=314&modelid=15653

Looks like they put a new one up on the 8th of Jan.

Note: You have to select an Operating System from the OS drop-down menu to see the Codec and a couple other drivers.

Nope. Still can't see 40D files as thumbs in explorer.

Ok, here is another comparison between my bridge photo from the Wukong Software and Photomatix.

Photomatix Software
Project Wukong

I personally like the Project Wukong Software version more than I do the Photomatix version. I did this same file earlier this weekend and the results weren't as good as this file came out. I also don't think that this has the cartoonish look that many people complain about.

Thoughts?

Don't know if this has been asked before, but it doesn't look like Wukong has support for Pentax RAW files yet. At least they don't show up in the open menu box when selecting pics to generate HDRs from.

Join the forum and request them, if you send them some of your RAW files for testing they would be very appreciative..

A tentative Pentax raw support is in the next version (due in 48 hours). However, this does not include support of K20D.

We do not have enough raw files to test, so any Pentax photographers, please join us and help.
//imagingluminary.org/support/index.php?board=2.0

We also have Olympus raw support in this version.

Thanks guys. Soon as I get a moment, I'll join the forum and ship some Pentax RAW files your way.

I like your samples Gordon. The time limit expired on my version so I got Lucis Arts which seems to very similar things on low settings if you use the sculpture or exposure modes.
