These are things that are normally obstructions to be cloned or cropped out of an image. What about a challenge to take an interesting shot of these?

Ok, you can stop laughing now.

Who would laugh at that. I have seen some truly beautiful images of hi-tension poles. Great idea.

I think it's a good idea. There were some in the electricity challenge:

Do you mean something like this? The challenge sounds like it would be fun to try to make something worth seeing out of such utilitarian objects that give us headaches with other images.

Exactly the sort of thing I had in mind. I added another sample of my own above, which I think is way better than the first. Now to figure out how to do something cool with that and NOT use a sunset to add interest... Ow, that makes my creative lobe hurt.

You nailed it, though the main subject there is cranes, that's a great example.

It's a telephone pole and a tower of electricity.

My first (and only, so far) ribbon.

That's still 100% more ribbons than I have! I can see why it did so well.

I've had some people say this is their favorite photo I've taken. It's certainly not my favorite, but I do like it.

This guy got DQ'd because I forgot to tell SC that I used the lucis arts filter (before it was illegal)
