Bumping...

Maybe some sort of update would help.

I'm sure there are many people here at DPC that would throw in a few dollars but maybe are unsure or unable to use the method provided.

Good idea Bob - thanks!

14%. Yep, just fourteen percent. There is a LOT of room to grow here, and we could do this SO easily if we could just get people to donate a few dollars each!!

Look, I in NO way want to discuss specifics, but we HAVE seen this community pull together to help others!! <>

Oh, and you are right, Bob, about alternate methods. I will gladly do what I can to help. (For that matter, EVERYONE is welcome to ask ANY question, or offer ANY assistance!!) Everyone kinda defers to me... I'm just not the most innovative guy around LOL wink wink haha

Seriously, this will only work if we approach it as a GROUP effort. I really liked the idea of people donating proceeds from their print sales - anyone want to start a thread? (I say that because the whole site is used to seeing this thread pop up with my name, BUT! if others start new threads with exciting titles, it would bring MUCH more attention to this cause.)

If you are reading this, then this means YOU! ((more big smiles))

OH! I know!! We can send out tons of SPAM, asking people to cash huge (fake) checks for us & send back a portion in exchange for their help! :)

Lots 'O love peeps...

What about asking SC / Langdon if there is anything they could do (start a thread proclaiming the 'official' DPC backing of this project.

If you have a close / personal relationship with any other site members who may not be aware of this, discuss it with them.

Be sure to find out WHY someone may not want to participate (very politely of course). This info will GREATLY help find out what we can do to improve our progress. Remember, knowledge is power. ;)

erm, nvm... I'll ask Langdon myself, since I started it LOL. Feel free to discuss with any SC you know / are friends with... (privately & respectfully)

BRAINSTORM AWAY!

I can also create an email 'bill'. Just PM rossbilly (me), with your email & the amount you'd like to donate. Thank you for pointing this out Saker, and I'll update the first post here to include this option. :)

for people earlier saying that there are other important types of cancer that you feel are more important... Well have you ever looked at it as cancer is cancer, just hits different places. Find more about one form will help learn more about another and another until cancer will turn out to be like small pox. The disease that is only talked about because it is no longer around because it has been beaten.
Don't think of it as your just donating to just help with some research, get it in your head by giving money you are potentially saying thousands of peoples lives yearly...

Now if i had a paypal account or credit card I would be donating full force to see this hit off the ground, as I have lost my grandmother to lung cancer. I know she didn't have breast cancer but in the end it's all the same. Also, I have Crohn's disease, and later in my life if it ever gets worse I could end up with colon cancer, so any money put towards the research of any kind of cancer can help!

Well put Dustin. Sorry to hear about your Crohn's disease, I had a couple friends with that one mild one severe so I know from observing and talking to them that it can be brutal on the body. You could always do an email money transfer to rossbilly if his bank will accept them. I may offer to receive email money transfers and forward that through my CC to rossbilly also as my bank accepts EMT's as I do a lot of transactions with other people that I know...

just updated my site. I'll donate 25% of a session fee. I would do more but it's been a dry month for me.

That's fantastic Mary!!! OH - Care to share a link to the site you've mentioned, please?

No need to apologize ma'am... you ARE helping, and that is the important part! Thank you!
