jojo & I have already done some talking this evening - may have some other ideas up in the next few days (that woman knows people EVERYWHERE! LOL)
Judi - thank you! not sure why i didn't think of that; guess that is why I have such tremendous faith that we CAN make a difference as a group!!!

In an effort to get more donations for this and help Billy reach his goal I will offer a free membership to the person that makes the goal. So like if he has $2499 in the account and a person donates $1 that person gets a free membership. But Billy can't post where he is on his goal until it is reached.
How's that? Or anyone have a better idea?

Ooooh...I think we may be on to something here. I think that everyone who donates 'X' amount...gets to decide who has to be photographed wearing a tutu...what do ya all reckon.
Oh and if that person doesn't have access to a pink tutu...then they have to nominate something pink in its place that needs to be worn!!

If it will get more people to donate I will do it. But Billy has to get over the $2500 mark. All in the name of helping others.

Ya'll better watch it, heeheehee...I just put in my donation and I'm seeing PINK!
Lost two grandparents to cancer and have a father, father-in-law, and a few aunts all surviving cancer at this point. Oddly, the ladies all are breast cancer survivors (thank you, God) and the others all have/had different cancers. I would love to see this disease someday wiped from the face of the earth!
Edited to add: Animals get breast cancer, too. Lost a kitty to breast cancer two years ago.

Bumping for the Friday crowd. I like the idea of a Pink challenge for awareness and would really like to shoot for that. I'm proud of you guys for the efforts and donations made so far.

Hmmm - as I'm seeing who gives how much, I can't be involved in the "who does what for how much" thing - but it sounds fun!
As far as the TOTAL amount received, what if I announce certain milestones, such as "we are at 10 / 20 / 30%, etc." It could help build interest & encourage, since we are actually making progress...
Kat - That is a LOT of effected family members! I had no idea that animals could contract it too :(

Ok, I think it's time to decide on a charitable organization for this campaign. Since Leroy started this thread, I think it only fair that he contributes his thoughts & ideas. Me? Hmmm - I'm just the 'treasurer' of this operation ;)
BTW - I have to admit that there is a VERY long way to go to reach $2500... if this is to succeed, we ALL have to encourage more participation. Erick, you wanna start a thread about the pink tutu? :)
