That what it says in the little manual thing that came with it. In order to install to another computer, you must deactivate from the computer it's currently installed on.

I believe the license allows for two installations- a desktop and a laptop, for example- as long as you don't use them at the same time.

That's how I use it.

And twice this past year I've lost my home computer and had to replace it. They were very easy to work with on transfering the license from the dead computer to the new computer. I expected more hassle, but it was truly painless. One phone call. Completely automated.

It does allow installation and activation on two computers at the same time. I use a MAC laptop and my daughter uses an IMAC at the same time and never had any problems. Adobe will tell you when you try to register additional copies if you have exceeded their limit. If you have a crash and have to reinstall if you call them and explain what has happened they will give you a code to over-ride the maximum use.
