Ok, I know lots of you already get Studio Photography magazine (since its free too!). Anyway, I got an email from them recently, offering a free canvas print from canvasondemand.com Well, they provide a coupon code for an $84 canvas after you sign up - whatever... I gave it a try:

WOWOWOWWOWOWOWOWWO

I looked at the offer & realized you could order whatever size you wanted, so I chose a 24x36 inch print - INCREDIBLE! It is a huge one of these:

I'll put up a quick snap of the real thing when I get home; trust me, you WILL want one!!!! (i personally will pay the $10 for hardware in the future, but it is NOT a big deal; i just want the convenience)

Just can't say enough about how happy I am - so here is the link:

I ordered one a few months ago and love it. Color is excellent and the texture is a nice look. I show it to portrait clients now and though none have ordered it yet, they all seem to love it.

I got excited when I saw "International Shipping" but then I saw that only meant Canada... boo! I've always wanted to try a canvas print and this seemed like the perfect opportunity, but alas!

I also would have liked to see a canvas but although they will ship internationally ( according to FAQ anywhere) you need a US based address in order to sign up! - Bugger

Sorry about that Ben - but I do have an idea! When you find the company you want to use, see how this would look as a 2x3 meter print. I think its your best work! ;)

Thanks Billy! I signed up as well but I'm not sure which size I should go with.

My camera is 7.2 megapixels but I've only printed 8x10's. Most look great but some that were majorly color adjusted in PS have artifacts. I don't think I used Noise Ninja on them though. So, if I choose a picture that isn't majorly color adjusted and I use Noise Ninja, which size do ya'll think I can get away with?

Hi Brian! To be honest, I'd say you should be fine printing whatever size you like - just be sure to follow the instructions on their website. That said, here are a few tips I used:

1. READ ALL OF THEIR INSTRUCTIONS! lol
2. Notice that their equipment is stated as being ADOBE rgb calibrated.
3. Use the 'resize image' tool in PS, but NOT the one under 'edit'. If you look under the "HELP" menu, you'll find 'resize image'. This does a MUCH better job of resizing, and even helps with choosing your output quality.
4. Be sure to read the section about the 'extra' border needed, and that its size depends on which wrap you want (3/4 or 1 1/2 inches).
5. Just be very thorough with your first order - if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help (ANY of you!) Also, remember that their help department has worked with tons of customers before & they know their equipment best.

Best of luck!

Billy

Way to GO!!! I really hope everyone is even half as happy as I am with mine. Now, the important thing to remember is:

If you don't like yours, its all cindi's fault! ;) ;) ;)

Seriously, it would make my day to hear how everyone likes theirs & to see pics of them!

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on. You're saying I can get one free print just if I sign up??

What's the catch? Do they steal my information and solicit it somewhere??

There must be a catch somewhere, I company doesn't go handing out thousands of free prints, even in spite of all the advertissment and publicity

There is no catch - except that they may end it at any time. I got mine months ago and only have one email from them since. Not pfishing.

The $40 dollars for us canucks does sound a bit pricey, I could probably stop off at henry's and get it for cheaper- they do some nice photofinishing work.
