Finally got hold of a strobe to play around with. Took this earlier today but I can't figure out how to crop it. I kinda like the negative space, but at the same time the eye kind of wanders off into it meaninglessly.

So, anybody got any suggestions?

Cheers.

Here's my take.

A little tighter perhaps?

Aren't strobes the best? It just opens up a whole new dimension to the craft (yeah I sound like a blubbering noob).

I think Studiog2's crop looks pretty good.

I went a little tighter too... but not much... I put the eyes on the bottom third line and went with a more natural 4:3 frame.

I agree on both counts, the hand mirrors the crop quite well like that. Yeah my room is covered in a variety of cardboard based light manipulating contraptions. :D Can't wait to get it outside!

Edit: ooh fotomann that's pretty nice too. Hmmm...
