Last weekend I was asked to shoot for a horse show. Since I wasn't showing, I accepted. It was extremely hot and after lunch I was left with no shade (and ended up with a bad sunburn!). I've emailed my proofs and one person asked if I would sell the .jpg version of a few of hers. Now, I advertise myself as a recreation photographer, not a professional. I offer my prints pretty cheap since I use the "local printer" (Walmart!) My 8x10's are $10, 5x7-$7 and 4x6-$5. It is a young girl and she wants to use them online to sell the horse. I don't really want to sell that way, but I keep telling myself it's not like I'll end up seeing it plastered over magazines or it will be mass produced and she makes money. I still want to make my money though, because not everyone is gonna buy and I was there for what seemed FOREVER! I was thinking along the lines of $20 for up to 5, and an additional $5 for every 5 after that. Am I charging to much? I'm including a few of the proofs so you can get an idea of my work. These are straight from the camera. My final product to them is color corrected & cropped.

Thanks in advance!

You need to weigh up the importance to you of making money against the value of doing good deeds.

Why not let her have some "resized for web" images to sell the horse and let her know your prices for prints if she wants a memento?

Freebie web-sized jpg's with your web address in the corner? So it's a free advertisement of yourself to horse-shoppers.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll offer the freebe and tell her it will have my copyrite stamp and webpage on it. If she wants a momento, then regular price.

Thanks!
